The IMC Presents the Philmore Peterson V’s Art Exhibit

Honorary Patron, Hon. Yvonne Davis and the Board of Trustees of the International Museum of Cultures (IMC) present the Philmore Peterson V’s art exhibit as a salute to Black History Month.

Philmore Peterson V is a painter and mixed media artist living and working in Dallas, Texas. Born and raised in Dallas, Peterson had his first solo exhibition, titled Revelations in Oil, at the Dallas Convention Center, in 2001, when he was 14 years old. Peterson holds a BFA from The University of the Arts and an MFA from The Ohio State University, both with a focus in Painting and Drawing. Peterson is currently teaching classes at Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, Texas, and also has a studio based in Dallas.

The opening reception for the Philmore Peterson V’s art exhibit will be at the International Museum of Cultures on February 16, 2014 at 3:00 PM CST. The exhibit will run from February 16, 2014 through April 21, 2014.

William Hall will hang 30 of his unique cast cement art pieces and will complete number 31 in a live demonstration at the opening reception on June 2nd from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. This piece will be donated to the museum to raise funds through a silent auction running the duration of the show.
