In the women’s division, Althea Carlton ran the 5K in 21.35 minutes.
The International Museum of Cultures annual Orville Rogers’ RUN FOR THE HILLS, 5K RUN/1.5 MILE WALK drew records crowds with one team boosting 68 participants.
Honorary Chairman, Thane Baker, Olympic gold medalist of the Australia and Helsinki games began the Run and joined 94 year old Orville Rogers at the podium for making the award. Win Hatt and John Davis co-chaired the events for the twelfth time, experiencing continual growth in participation.
Following the RUN, ethnic entertainment was presented by the St. John’s Baptist Church Grace Praise Team and the band of Christ Our Lord Church in celebration of International Museum Day.
