December at the International Museum of Cultures

GIANT CHRISTMAS CARD WILL BE IN THE FOYERIf you wish to honor or place a loved ones name “in memory” you may make a tax-deductible donation to the museum and your honored person or family of the named loved one will receive a card stating the donation has been made by the donor. This is a wonderful way to pay special tribute to those whom you care about and make a philanthropic gift to the museum as well.

The first of several Christmas events will begin on December 3rd. The Junior Anthropology Club will meet at the museum at 10:30 a.m. to enjoy music and stories of holidays around the world and also make a gift and ornament while here. There will be a $2.50 charge for this days activities. Call 972 708 7537 for more details or to RSVP. Membership is open to any elementary age student for only $5 per year.

At 2 p.m. on December 3rd, the annual Greater Dallas Rotary Chorus will present their Christmas concert.

The “Bits of Glass” exhibit will remain in place through December 17th. Many of the pieces are for sale at very reasonable prices.

Paul Neeley and his group will present Christmas music from around the world at 2 p.m. on December 17th.

We will be honoring our college interns and volunteers on December 7th and 10th, respectively, for all the time they dedicate to the museum.

The International Discovery Boxes are ready for schools, libraries, churches, etc. to have the museum come to them. Call Kerri at 972 708 7406 for details.

We are now open on Saturdays, so come visit us on the weekends!! Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
